Who can participate?
  • You must use CHADIS (Child Health and Development Interactive System) for screening.
  • You must be a practicing clinician and see patients less than 3 years of age. We recommend that clinicians only participate if they see 10 or more patients per month who are between the ages of 18 and 30 months.
What are the requirements for Part 4 Credit?
  • Use CHADIS to administer the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (MCHAT) to parents of children of the appropriate ages for the duration of your participation.
  • Participate in at least three case review/QI webcasts.
  • Complete a baseline Quality Improvement Cycle screening 10 children followed by a minimum of 2 additional cycles of at least 10 children each. At the completion of each cycle, you will review a report of your progress, identify additional strategies for improving rates of autism screening and Follow Up Interview rates, and implement a change to improve rates.
  • Watch an autism training video and complete online pre and post quizzes.
How long will it take to complete the project?
  • You can complete the project in as little as 3 months. You may finish sooner or choose to participate for longer, if you wish.
