Models for care are only viable if they are economically sustainable. We are exploring various economic models of care focusing primarily on models that emerge as clinically and politically feasible. At this point we have collected a unique set of school services data and are estimating costs based on the national Special Education Expenditure Project—SEEP that provided estimates for special education services but did not examine children with ADHD. We will be collecting family level expenses with the help of The Services for Children and Adolescents–Parent Interview (SCAPI) inventory.
